6 months .... talking, rolling and eating real food!!!

Guess what everyone?? I said my first word on Friday ... Dada!! I don't know what it means and right now everything is dada but when I said it for the first time I was looking right at dad and he was so happy and excited. I also rolled over again all by myself. I haven't done that since the first time I rolled over and this time it was from my back to my stomach and I'm getting pretty good at it. Pretty soon I'll be rolling over all the time.

I still haven't broken a tooth through yet but I'm working on it and will be sure to let everyone know when I do.

Look at me go!!! I'm now eating real baby food for lunch and dinner. My favourites right now are peas and sweet potatoes. I sure do make a mess while I'm eating. My mom is always finding little pieces of food in my hair and all over the place when I'm done.

Wow, I can't believe I'm 6 months already. Time is going by way to fast!!! The past 10 days I've been in the States at my dad's house. I had so much fun while I was there visiting grandma and grandpa Tolsma and all the rest of my family that I can't wait to go back. It is good to be home though to see grandma and grandpa because I missed them like crazy!!

Mom and dad bought me a new 4 in 1 bed for my new room and next time we're at my dad's house we are painting my new princess room and setting up my bed so I can sleep in there for the first time ever. I'm very excited to have my own room and will show everyone pictures once mom and dad finish it up.

I just had my 6 months checkup and the doctor said that I'm very healthy. I'm 18 pounds and growing like a weed. He said I'm doing so good that I don't have to have another checkup until I'm 1 year old.

Grandma bought a puppy!!!

Grandma brought home a new puppy last night. We named him Rocky. He is so cute and isn't going to get much bigger than he is now. I'm so excited that I have a little furry friend to play with now at home!!

Well I still haven't rolled over again yet. This picture shows you how far I get. My mom barely has to push me from this point and I'll roll right over on my stomach but I'm still to lazy to do it on my own. One day soon I'll surprise everyone and just flip over.

Wow ... I can't believe I'm 5 months old already. I'm starting to feel like an old lady sometimes!! Hahaha just kidding but seriously, time sure has flown by. This weekend I got to meet my little cousin Liam for the first time. He is about 7 weeks old and so tiny compared to me. We had a lot of fun playing on the floor together. Grandma cooked a nice turkey for Easter dinner and I got to wear my new Easter dress and hang out with my dad all weekend long. We sure had a blast together!! Well I'm off to take some medicine and a nap ... I'm fighting a bronchial virus right now so I need lots of sleep to get rid of this so I'm not cranky for my mom!!

So yesterday my mom gave me some cereal to try for the first time. It was good and I ate almost all of what my mom gave me. I can't wait to eat some more!! Last night I went to my grandpa's baseball game but I was so cranky I had to go home in like the second inning. I'm teething and fighting a pretty bad cold but hopefully I'll be better for next week's game so I can go and cheer them on.

I rolled over!!

Well I had a big weekend ... I rolled over for the first time!!! I was so excited and my mom was so proud of me. I rolled over while we were over at grandma and grandpa Tolsma's house for lunch yesterday (and no this isn't an April Fools trick hahaha). I rolled over from my tummy onto my back and when mom tried to get me to do it again I got all frustrated and started crying. I had enough for one day. Dad missed me rolling over so I'll have to do it again soon so he can see ... he was kinda sad he missed it. Well that is all that's new with me right now, I'm off to get my mom so she can give me a warm bath so I can warm up from all this crazy snow we are having today!! Talk to everyone soon.
