Now that I'm walking, it seems like I live in a new place. I'm looking at everything from a whole new prospective ... so these last couple of days I've been re-checking out the house and seeing where everything is ....

Starting to get this whole walking thing

Well I'm getting closer and closer to this whole walking thing!! Last night we were at Grandma and Grandpa Tolsma's house and Auntie Missa was playing with me on the floor. All of a sudden I just started walking towards Mom and Dad. After that I couldn't stop. I walked all around the living room and kitchen on my own. I was sooo proud of myself and everyone there was super proud of me also!!! Today I was kinda leary about walking again but Mom cleared out the living room for me to give me some space and we are gonna practice, practice, practice. Now that I've done it once I know what it's all about and am ready to take off. Any day now I'll be a full fledged walker .... hopefully :o)

Still not walking on my own

So I'm two days shy of being 16 months and I'm still not walking. I'm going to blame it on laziness and maybe a little bit of lack of confidence. I love to walk with Mom and Dad if they hold onto my hand but I'm not quite ready to take that step on my own yet. The other day Dad and I were walking to Mom and he let go of my hand and I managed to walk the 6 or 7 steps to get to Mom before I fell. I was very proud of myself and now I know that I am just that much closer to being able to do it on my own!!!

Weekend of visitors

This last weekend we had lots of visitors at our house. On Friday Auntie Sherry, Cindy and Kathy came to visit. We hung out at home and I showed off of my toys and all the new things I can do since I last saw everyone. Then on Saturday Grandma Beldam came to visit for the day. We had lots of fun shopping and playing at the house together.

On Saturday Auntie Sherry came to visit and Mom and I took her to the Lynden Park to play in the beautiful sunshine. I had lots of fun playing on the swings, crawling around and going down the big, dark twisty tube slide with Auntie Sherry. Here are some pictures of us playing.

Jungle Playland

Today Mom took me to Jungle Playland with Auntie Sara, Shannon, Nathalie, Auntie Becca, Noah and Ian. It is kind of like a big Chucky Cheese but better and with a jungle type theme. We had lots of fun climbing on everything, going down the slides and playing in the ball pits. Mom even took me down the super fast and bumpy big kids slide .... I loved it and can't wait to go back and play there again!!!!
