Farmer's Day parade/carnival

This last weekend was the Farmer's Day parade/market/carnival in Lynden. In the morning Mom and I went to the parade with a bunch of my cousins and I saw lots of cool tractors, horses, marching bands and other parade things. Afterwards we went for a walk in downtown Lynden where they had a bunch of stands set up and some games to play. We had lunch down there and just walked around and checked everything out. Then later on that afternoon/early evening Dad, Mom and I went to the carnival at the fairgrounds where I got to go on lots of rides and play carnival games. Finally, we went with Uncle Derek, Auntie Shelli and Austin to the demolition derby. It was really loud at times but I loved watching all the cars smash into each other. Austin and I cheered like crazy for the drivers. We even saw a car get on fire it was hit so many times and saw a truck do such a big burnout at the burnout show that is back tires burst into flames too ... it was really cool!!!

A day at the beach

Yesterday Mom and Dad took me out to the beach at Birch Bay for a picnic and some fun in the sun. The tide was out really far so we spent a couple hours walking through all the sand and seaweed looking for treasures and digging for clams. Dad and I tried digging in a few spots but we never caught any live clams this time ... maybe next time we'll get lucky. I did collect lots of shells though and even got lucky and found a starfish!!! After my buckets were full of treasures we headed home where I helped Mom clean off my shells and my starfish. I really wanted to take my starfish in the house and play with it but Mom said we needed to leave them in the garage so I will get to look at him some more when I'm outside playing. I had a great day at the beach and can't wait to go back again soon!!!

May Randoms

Wow, end of May already and summer is just around the corner, I can hardly wait!!! May has been a pretty slow month around here for Mom and Dad and me. We've been keeping it low key not really doing awhole lot of anything. A few new things though this month were I got a new pet fish, a male betta, and a trampoline .. which I all a "jumpoline". I named my fish Nemo and love watching him swim arounnd his fish bowl. As for my jumpoline, I can't get enough of it. I love going out there and jumping around it's all I want to do these days which is fine by Mom (as long as the weather is nice that is). Other than that there isn't much new over here, just waiting for my baby sister to come out of my Mom's tummy in a few months!!! Hopefully I will have a more exciting post for everyone next time ....

Easter 09

Happy Easter everyone!!! We spent Easter in Chilliwack this year with Nana, Bapa, Uncle Kevin and Uncle Drew. I had a great visit with everyone. The easter bunny left me a nice easter basket filled with all sorts of goodies, it was great. Bapa, Mom and Dad took me to the hotel to see some baby chicks that had just hatched and we were hoping to see some hatch right in the incubator. I tried yelling at them saying "hurry up baby chicks!!" but they didn't seem to want to listen to me. I didn't get to see one hatch fully but did see a chick right after it was out of the egg plus lots of little fluffy ones that hatched earlier that morning. It was really neat, I loved it. It was all I could talk about for the rest of the day!!! We also went over to Auntie Heather's to visit with them and cousins .. Karen, Lisa, Liam, Cohen and Adria. Liam and I had an easter egg hunt and filled up our baskets full of candy and eggs then pigged out on all the candy afterwards ... it sure was delicious!!!
Well, I'm sure you have all heard already but just in case .... I am going to have a baby sister!!!! I'm so excited to be getting a little sister to play with in August and have really been brushing up on my "mommy skills" so I can help Mom look after her ... it's going to be great.

Only 1 baby!!

Mom had her ultrasound last week and there is only 1 baby in there for me to play with soon. I got to see the pictures of my new baby brother or sister and I can't wait for August. Mom should be finding out the first week of April what she is having ... I can hardly wait to see if it's a boy or a girl!!!
I have been working alot harder at potty training for Mom. On average at home I am telling her and going about 4 times a day on the potty. I did have 2 days where we weren't home all day and I went everytime on the potty while we were out ... I like to go more when I'm not at home cuz it doesn't take away from my playtime then. Mom is working with me so I tell her more often at home too ... definitely a huge improvement and big step forward so far though!!!

Update

Hi there, not much new going on over here in our neck of the woods but Mom and I thought we'd add some more pictures for everyone. Mom is now 16 weeks pregnant and getting big!! I love to rub her belly and say hi to the new baby whenever I can. We had Nan (who I now call Grandma) over for a sleepover the other night before taking her to the airport. I had a great visit with her and am looking forward to her spending a couple days with us when she gets home in a few months. I'm starting to get more involved and into telling Mom when I need to go sit on the potty and a couple of times I even went on the big girl potty. Mom is starting to put me in big girl panties to get me more motivated to potty train ... I guess we'll see if it works!! Well that's all for now .. talk to everybody soon!!!

New Baby!!!

Well as most of you already know I'm going to be a big sister!!!!!!!!!! My mom is 12 1/2 weeks pregnant and is due August 10th. I can hardly wait for a baby brother or sister to play with. I've been practicing lots with my dolls so when the baby is here I will be able to help out mom lots. Other than this very exciting news not much has been new over here. Just playing and running around like crazy like a typical 2 year old.
