My new puppy Harley

The other night Dad bought me a new puppy!!! He is a beagle and we named him Harley. He is 7 weeks old today and is soo tiny and cute. I love my new puppy!!! Mom and I take him for walks and outside in the yard to run around alot during the day. It's my job to hold his leash when we go for walks and I only let go some of the times. We bought him lots of dog toys and right now I'm trying to teach him to fetch his ball ... he doesn't quite get it yet but we're getting there ..... Here are some pictures of him:

Houseboating 2008

We just got back from our annual Beldam Houseboating vacation on the Shushwap. Dad had to stay home and work which made me sad but I was glad that atleast Mom and I were able to go with everyone. The first couple of days we had pretty crummy weather but after that it was super hot for the rest of the week. I spent alot of time swimming in the lake and playing with my sand toys on the beach. I also got really brave in the hottub thanks to Auntie Jen. She taught me how to jump in and go completely under the water. I loved dunking my head and love to swim. Mom says I'm like a little fish in the water. It sure was great to see all my Beldam family as I don't get to see most of them very much other than houseboating. I sure hope we are able to go again next year!!!!

Our trip to Montreal

At the beginning of August, as most of you know, we went to Montreal to complete our immigrations process to the States. We had our interview and got approved to move down with Dad so we are all very happy about being legal etc. It was my very first airplane ride going to Montreal and I did very good while on the plane (way better than Mom and Dad thought I would) I really enjoyed looking out the windows during take-off and the landing and can't wait to go on another plane ride again. While we were Montreal we met a very nice couple who were also moving to the States and we spent the day with them and their daughter sightseeing around Old Town Montreal. It was a really neat place to visit and I'm so glad Mom and Dad took me around to see all the different buildings etc. We also went on a horse and buggy tour around Old Town and learnt lots of neat things about the city's history.

4th of July

Well I just had my first 4th of July since moving to the States. We had tons of fun. Grandma Beldam came down for a few days to spend the long weekend with us. During the day on the 4th we went to a park in Bellingham called Cornwall Park. I played on the slides and swings. Then we went for a big walk on some trails through the woods and to cool off I decided to run through the sprinklers in the little water park they have there. I was soaking wet ... good thing there was a blanket in the car to wrap up in after cuz I had no towel or dry clothes with me ... it was all worth it though!!! Then that night we went to Auntie Becca's house with Dad's family and had a big bbq. I even went tubing for the first time. I only lasted about 30 seconds before Dad and I flipped off the tube and after that I was done and much happier just sitting in the boat watching everyone else go. Later when it got dark we went to Ryan Stiles' house (actor from Whose Line is it Anyways and the Drew Carey Show) to watch fireworks. They were amazing and I clapped and cheered as loud as I could!!!! Mom said they put Canada's fireworks to shame .. hahaha
Finally, on a very happy note, Mom and I got our interview for immigrations!!! It is set for August 4th in Montreal. Less than a month and we will finally be legal ... I can hardly wait!!!!! Plus I get to visit Montreal which is an added bonus :o)

Update

Hi everyone!!! Well, not much new to report these days. I've pretty much just been busy being a crazy 19 month old, terrorizing Mom and Dad and running around, taking over the house. The newest thing with me these days is that I'm now talking like crazy!! I can pretty much ask for anything I want around the house and people understand me. I also have full blown conversations with Mom and Dad all the time. Sometimes they can only pick out a couple words but I know exactly what I am saying and if I'm asked to repeat myself I'll tell you the exact same thing that I just said. Quite a good trick I thought :o) Other than that Mom and I are just waiting patiently for our paperwork to be completed and crossing our fingers that we'll hear something any day now ......
Here are some pictures of some recent visits with family and friends I had the last bit of May .....

Reading books with Auntie Cindy ... it must have been a funny part!!!

My crazy 'I just got out of the bath look' This was the first time I've seen Auntie Cheryl since November ... it sure was great to see her again :o)

Chillin with Auntie Sherry

Big kisses for Grandma

My new car that Grandma and Mom built for me ... apparently they say it wasn't worth the hassle ... good thing I love it and play with it all the time!!!

Reading books with Grandma .... hard to tell who's actually reading to who?!!?

Visit with Nana

Last Wednesday we picked up Nana at the airport and she stayed and visited with us until Sunday. I don't get to see Nana very often so it was really nice to have her stay with us. I had a great time spending a couple days with Nana shopping and catching up with her!!!

I never wander far without my purse
